This depends on the product you are using and what ingredients it contains. Some facial products do not stain or get soaked up at all. To be on the safe side, we would recommend allowing 15-20 mins after application of your eye cream/gel/oil, in the evening before putting the mask on. By following the care instructions that come with our eye masks, (also available on our website) you can wash them too from time to time to keep them silky and clean!

If you have any doubts about a particular product, try testing a small amount on the silk carry pouch that comes with your mask to see whether it stains, and if so, whether it can be easily washed out.

Yes! Don’t let our silky, sexy masks fool you! The first ever Drowsy mask was the Midnight Blue which has been bought by thousands of guys too! To this day it remains our best seller for guys and girls and is 100% suitable for men too.

Also, maybe consider our L’Amour Gold and Black Jade, which are also classic colours that would suit the more masculine types out there, but equally are very classy and chic and look great on anyones head! We are a unisex brand and we don’t discriminate.

Silk is recommended for sleep masks when you have eyelash extensions as the material is very light and soft. Our sleep masks do not have a ''pocket'' for your eyes and as such the silk would come into contact with your lashes.

However the strap that goes around your head is fully adjustable so there's no need to have it really tight on, so you can adjust it to fit your head and allow for your lashes too. The mask is also very soft and contains some light cushioning inside the black-out padding.

We've never had any complaints about eyelash extensions so we’re confident to say that you should be fine! If after purchasing an eye mask you find for whatever reason that it doesn't work for you then you can return it to us at no cost and we will refund you no questions asked!

Our eye masks are not principally intended to be sound muffling. However, due to the nature of the design, and the extra padding used that wraps entirely around the head, a great secondary feature of the mask is that it does help to reduce noise and muffle sound. If you have a partner who snores, or if you fly a lot, you will notice the difference!

We have spent hours with our product development team and manufacturers to be able to make all of our masks, no matter the colour of the silk, 100% black-out.

The State of Sleep Pillow spray is designed as a sleep focused aromatherapy. It is scent based only. Avoid direct contact with skin. Allow a few minutes for the spray to soak into your pillow before lying down.

The s.o.s pillow spray is designed using ancient tested apothecary oils that have proven relaxation and sleep benefits.

However we recommend that the spray is used in conjunction with a healthy sleep focused lifestyle including mindfulness; a reduction in caffeine consumption; a reduction in blue light screen time; regular exercise and healthy diet.

There have been some reported cases of risks associated with essential oil use and pregnancy. We recommend consulting a doctor before using any essential oil based product if you are pregnant.

No the spray is designed so as not to stain, however we recommend using 1 spray to begin with and gradually increasing, to be sure.

Essential oils can affect people differently. All our essential oils are 100% natural and have been approved for use in our products. Certain scents can not only promote certain emotions or feelings but from time to time may be slightly overwhelming and therefore might cause side effects such as a mild headache. 

We would recommend applying less and if you continue to experience problems then let us know and we will arrange a return and refund for you.

Our pillow sprays have been formulated to be long lasting. This means that unlike other pillow sprays on the market, you only need to apply a couple of spritzes to your pillow to benefit from the sleep enhancing aromas - all night long. We’ve calculated that one of our 50ml pillow sprays should give you up to 6 months of glorious deep sleep!

You’ll be pleased to know that we have developed a pillow spray specifically for children. The Drowsy Sleep S.O.S for Kids has been independently tested by a UK toxicologist and been approved safe for use for infants from 6 months upwards. We developed this spray to match the aroma of our award winning Sleep S.O.S, but it is formulated with a water base instead of organic alcohol so that if direct skin contact were to occur, it would be much more gentle and less likely to cause irritation. Our Sleep S.O.S for Kids is suitable for kids up to about 8/9 years old. From there, our adult spray would be fine to use. It also comes in an aluminium bottle instead of a glass bottle so you don’t need to worry about breakages!

Our S.O.S pillow spray has been formulated for people who struggle to get to sleep. The combination of essential oils specifically target the key areas of sleep and create a calming atmosphere while aiding in achieving a deeper, more restful sleep (with less wake ups).

Our Sleep Zen Pillow Spray on the other hand is perfect for stress and anxiety relief and achieving total Zen - for all those with busy minds. It does still have many sleep benefits however, but our Sleep S.O.S is much more sleep targeted. Our Zen spray can be used for meditation and relaxation too. Why not try spritzing your yoga mat at the end of a class and try lying back for 15 minutes to feel that pure namaste let you go? It depends on the size of your oil burner but we find that for 50ml of water we add 4-6 drops of pure essential oil. 

Our oils are very strong in potency due to the quality of the oils that we use.  So it may be that 2-3 drops is sufficient for you. The key is to create a reassuring environment in which to sleep.

If you do not have a diffuser, we would recommend using an oil burner for an hour whilst you prepare for bed. You can always increase this quantity if you have a larger space to fill or you find that it is not strong enough.

Please always be very careful when using products near an naked flame. Essential oils are highly flammable and a lot of care must be taken when using them. Ensure that no pets or children are around and always make sure that you have blown out the flame before going to sleep. We would never recommend using an oil burner or even diffuser whilst you are asleep.

Our aromatherapy products are made from natural and organic ingredients, but certain animals can react differently to certain essential oils so we would recommend speaking to your vet if you have any concern or questions.

Apply to cleansed skin under the eye and gently dab onto the skin. Leave the gel to soak in, do not massage in.

Yes you can use our eye gel alongside your makeup. We recommend applying the eye gel first and giving it a few minutes to dry before applying makeup in the morning. It's also great at the end of the day once you have washed make-up off. 

We personally recommend storing it in the fridge as it has a wonderful cooling effect, perfect for those tired, puffy morning eyes.

If you receive your order confirmation and realise that something is wrong, missing or incorrect, please contact our customer care advisor straight away at nicky@drowsysleepco.com, who will assist you as quickly as possible. Please provide your order number in the message.

Sometimes these can end up in your junk or spam folder so check there first and if still no luck then you can contact our customer care team at nicky@drowsysleepco.com and we will let you know if your order has been placed correctly, and we’ll be able to resend you a confirmation of order if necessary.

All orders are shipped out in branded mailer boxes, which are placed in a plastic mailer bag before being sent off. The branded mailer boxes look great so can be used for gift boxes too, however they are primarily intended to protect your products during transit, so if the mailer box arrives with a few bumps and dents on it, but everything inside is fine - then don’t worry - it’s done it’s job!

Currently we do not offer this service unfortunately. We are working on this as we would love to be able to offer this to our customers very soon!

We are still a small family run start up and unfortunately at this moment we do not have the staff capabilities to be able to offer customer services or order placing via telephone or indeed by post.

If you are a customer and need to get in touch with us about your order or you have a general enquiry, you can email our customer services advisor Nicky at nicky@drowsysleepco.com and she will do her best to get back to you within 24 hours.

If you have recently placed an order with us and have since decided that you would like to cancel that order, please let us know as soon as possible. Depending on when the order was placed we may be able to cancel your order before it has been processed by the warehouse and avoid it being shipped out.

If on the other hand it has already left our fulfillment center by the time you contact us to cancel, we may not be able to stop it in its tracks. In this case, we would ask you to notify us once it has been delivered and from there we can arrange the return of it with you.

If you wish to amend an order you can do so by contacting us immediately after purchase and hopefully we can assist you with this. In the event that your order has already been processed and shipped out, it may not be possible for us to amend your order. We do accept returns however so if you’d like to return an item once you receive it just let us know. If you’d like to add an item to your order then we would suggest putting this through as a separate order.

Once in a blue moon the atomiser tops on our bottles may incur a minor fault in the spring mechanism which will prohibit the liquid from being dispensed properly as a fine mist. This happens very very rarely and If you are the unlucky person that has experienced this, then please accept our apologies and get in touch with us immediately and we will send you out a new one no questions asked.
